- Decent's own text and photos on decentespresso.com (product pages, guides, docs and blog) are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0, https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Credit "Decent Espresso" with a link to the page you used.
- Not covered: trademarks and logos (Decent, DE1, Bengle and the Decent logo), content by customers and other third parties (forum and Basecamp posts, reviews, quoted articles, other companies' photos), and software and firmware, which carry their own licences.

## Product data

- A free, read-only JSON API covers every machine, accessory and spare part: https://decentespresso.com/api/ (guide), with an [OpenAPI description](https://decentespresso.com/api/openapi.json).
- Search: `GET /api/products?q=basket`. By category: `GET /api/products?category=tampers` (ids from `GET /api/categories`). Spare parts not shown in the shop: add `all=1`.
- One product: `GET /api/products/{sku}`. It returns prices in six currencies, availability, description, weight and dimensions, photos, a cart link, and related products: variants, discounted versions, the parts a kit contains, the kits a part belongs to, and which included machine parts it can replace.
- Names and descriptions follow the host's language (e.g. de.decentespresso.com/api/...). Limit: 120 requests per minute per IP.
- Every product page carries schema.org Product JSON-LD (in a `<script type="application/ld+json">` block): SKU, name, photo, weight, dimensions, materials, and an Offer per currency (USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, HKD) with availability.
- Availability is approximate (it comes from the last stock count). The cart shows the final price, shipping and duty for the buyer's country.

## Building a shopping cart

You can hand a person a link that fills their cart. They then check out and pay themselves.

- Format: `https://decentespresso.com/c?s=NUMBER+QUANTITY+NUMBER+QUANTITY...`
- NUMBER is the last 5 digits of the SKU (the API gives it as `cart_number`). For example, SKU `DE-304TAMPERV61ALUH-75830` is `75830`.
- Example: two black V6 tampers is `https://decentespresso.com/c?s=75830+2`
- To price a cart before handing over the link: `GET https://decentespresso.com/api/cart/quote?s=75830+2&country=DE`. It returns line prices, the quantity discount, shipping, import tax for machines, an estimated total, the checkout link, and `can_checkout`. The cart checks out one espresso machine alone, or accessories alone; for a mixed cart the quote lists `separate_orders`.
